Endorsement From the Founders of De Hogeweyk, The Netherlands

Last February we had the opportunity to visit the Microtown™ at NewDirection Care Bellmere. We, Jannette Spiering and Eloy van Hal, founders of the renowned De Hogeweyk (a.k.a. Dementia Village) in The Netherlands were more than amazed at what we saw and experienced during our half-day visit. It felt more like coming home even though we were so far away from our home country. Coming home is the feeling that everybody wants and needs. This is especially true for residents who have to move to a new place to continue their lives with professional support. (more…)
