NewDirection Care CEO and founder wins big at Telstra Queensland Business Women’s Awards
Natasha Chadwick won two major awards (2019 Telstra Queensland Business Woman of the Year and in the Medium to Large Business Category) – for her world-first ‘Microtown’ aged care model.
As we reported here, Ms Chadwick launched NewDirection Care last year in Bellmere (50km north of Brisbane) as an inclusive care community for older Australians with complex needs – particularly those with dementia.
The Microtown is a completely different building, care and staffing model. Check it out here.
With over two decades of experience in the sector, Ms Chadwick says her mission is to create an alternative to traditional “institutionalised” aged care in Australia with a model that focuses on intrinsic human values of inclusiveness and freedom.
The Telstra Awards have recognised Chadwick as an entrepreneur who has been “pioneering a new direction in aged care for the past seven years.”
Ms Chadwick is now shortlisted for Telstra’s National Business Woman of the Year Award, to be announced 16 May.
