Our Bellmere MICRO TOWN® is set on two hectares of land, designed with the wellbeing of residents in mind. Unlike the confined spaces of traditional aged care facilities, Bellmere offers a wealth of green spaces and outdoor areas that promote mental and physical health.
Each house has its own spacious front yard and back garden, providing private outdoor spaces for relaxation. Beyond each home, residents can enjoy beautiful communal areas, BBQ spots, and the freedom to stroll along the streets that make up their vibrant MICRO TOWN®. Over 50% of the area is dedicated to gardens, green spaces, and sitting areas to soak in our serene environment. Dementia-friendly design features like street signs, numbered houses, unique features and landmarks ensure all residents can navigate their surroundings with ease and confidence.
The accessibility of the MICRO TOWN® encourages social interaction and connection essential for fostering a vibrant community spirit. Residents can also take advantage of the various amenities located at the town centre enriching their daily lives and ensuring they remain an active part of both the MICRO TOWN® and the wider neighborhood. This means no Memory-Support-Units (MSUs) or other forms of segregation for people with dementia or other complex care needs – we are pioneering the future, a new direction in aged- and dementia- care where everyone’s human-rights are upheld and respected.
